ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) in education for children with and without Developmental Disorders (DD) are mostly unknown or not affordable for the most Low-and-Mid Income Countries (LMIC) such is Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). Usual intervention services in B&H are delivered within public institutions and provided by defectologists dealing with rehabilitating, not educating children with developmental disorders. EDUS - Education for All, and NGO in B&H was the only high intensity behavioral intervention provider in the country, and for the past several years we have developed and tested different intensity programs across country. As the arrival of Pandemic, all programs in the country were stopped and EDUS developed different approach to try to provide lower intensity intervention to smaller groups of preschool age children. A total of 60 children ages 3 to 8 years old, went through the STEAM inclusive workshops during the pandemic. We tested this new curriculum and measured children’s advancement through a pre-post design across 12 dimensions of STEAM. Some of the 12 dimensions of STEAM we conducted the pre, post and maintenance probes are: verbal behavior, participation, collaboration, self-help, social skills, persistence, creativity, problem- solving. We will discuss the new model of STEAM workshops and the effects on the acquisition of new skills as a possible way to alleviate the lack of intense intervention/education during the pandemic.
