Abstract:

Many companies that provide Applied Behavior Analysis are struggling right now. Small business owners are having trouble paying their bills. Large companies are closing their practices in entire states. Small business owners are constantly encouraged to grow. However there are more options for business owners. Saundra Bishop, BCBA, CCTP made the decision to downsize her company in order to stay open, provide services, and maintain a consistent workforce. Gabrielle Torres, made the decision to sell her company in order to support her staff. Jenna Kokoski, BCBA consults with providers on making these decisions in order to support owners to achieve their business and personal goals. In this panel, these providers will normalize the experience that many ABA company owners are currently going through, while they discuss the steps they went through, the ethical implications of each step, and the way they proceeded with their supervisory responsibilities along the way.

Target Audience:

This workshop is targeted towards providers who have experiences with supervising staff for 3-5 years at the senior level as Clinical Directors and CEOs. Attendees should we well versed in basic feedback models such as positive to negative ratios, giving performance feedback in written format, and well as giving feedback in a meeting format with the ability to define operational definitions of success in the field. This workshop is targeted towards business owners.
