Abstract: The Artificial Intelligence Consortium for Applied Behavior Analysis (AIC ABA) willparticipate in a question and answer panel session elaborating on their job of AI in behavioranalytic services. This panel will discuss considerations to preserve clinical judgement andcritical thinking while interacting with AI tools. Relatedly, panelists will discuss human-led AIstrategies to keep AI in the role as a hypothesis generator, as opposed to a decision-maker.Suggestions will be provided for what to look for in an AI tool considering AI’s strengths andweaknesses, highlighting compliance considerations. Additionally, the panelists willdescribe safeguards to ensure quality service delivery.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Identify at least two strategies to ensure “human-led AI” use.
- Describe at least one potential benefit and one limitation or risk when utilizing AI in ABA.
- Describe at least two safeguards related to AI that help to support service quality and reducerisks.
