Abstract:

The rate of Board Certified Behavior Analysts continues to grow steadily. With this increase, it's important that we discuss qualities of Board Certified Behavior Analysts that are needed to provide effective, meaningful, and compassionate service to the individuals we support, their families and caregivers. The goal of this panel is to take a deeper dive into the qualities that truly matter when providing service to autistic individuals and talk together about how these qualities effect the delivery of our services. This discussion will be based on personal experiences working in the field both with center based and home treatment. Panelists will discuss ways that they have grown personally and professionally as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst over their time in the field of behavior analysis. The goal of this panel is for participants to leave with more thought about the qualities they possess and how these qualities may effect the services they provide.
