One of Japan’s most beautiful cities, Kyoto has more than 1,600 Buddhist temples and more than 400 Shinto shrines. Many of Kyoto's attractions have been designated World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, and each has buildings or gardens of immeasurable historical value that are open to the public.

Our headquarters hotel, Hotel Granvia Kyoto, offers modern architecture and is part of the JR Kyoto Station Building Complex, which provides train transportation around the city as well as to sites such as Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. Tour packages will be available.

According to Lonely Planet, “… traditional architecture is only half the story: there are also dazzling geisha dances, otherworldly kabuki performances, and an incredible range of shops and restaurants. All told, it’s fair to say that Kyoto ranks with Paris, London and Rome as one of those cities that everyone should see at least once in their lives.” (Rowthorn, C. et al. [2013]. Japan. [13th ed.]. Oakland, CA: Lonely Planet Publications.)
