Metrorail and Metrobus are convenient ways to get around DC. The Walter E. Washington Convention Center has a dedicated Metro station serviced by the Yellow and Green lines, and many hotels are located near Metro stations or bus routes.

There are more than 6,000 taxis servicing DC. Download the DC Taxi app, which allows you to choose a regular, large, or wheelchair-accessible taxi; see a fare and time estimate before you hail the cab; and pay either through the app or in the vehicle.

The DC Circulator bus costs just $1 and travels along six routes designed for easy-on, easy-off rides to points of interest, including a dedicated National Mall route for access to monuments and memorials.

Capital Bikeshare has 24-hour stations across DC.
