Pennsylvania Convention Center and Marriott Philadelphia Downtown
ABAI’s 50th Annual Convention will be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! By day, visit fascinating museums, vibrant parks, and U.S. national historic sites. After the sun sets, the city heats up with acclaimed performing arts, amazing dining, and vibrant nightlife.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center and the headquarters hotel, the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown, are located in the heart of this walkable and accessible city. The convention center is steps from art institutions such as the Barnes Foundation, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Rodin Museum; and historic sites such as the Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Center, part of “America’s most historic square mile.” From Philadelphia’s highest spot (One Liberty Observation Deck, 883 feet above the city) to one of its most visited (Reading Terminal Market, welcoming millions of diners and shoppers each year), these are the city’s defining attractions.
Philadelphia International Airport touts 25 airlines, including all major domestic carriers, and offers nearly 500 daily departures to more than 130 destinations worldwide. Seven miles from downtown, the airport is easily accessible from the convention center. Many shuttles as well as a regional rail service run to Jefferson Station, which is next to the convention center and the headquarters hotel.
