ABAI is committed to providing a welcoming, accessible environment for all attendees. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests within the logistical limits of our venues.

 

Boston Logan International Airport

The airport is fully equipped with special access facilities to provide all travers with a safe, convenient means of getting around. Accessible Features

  • Accessible on-site parking
  • Elevators to every level
  • Special hearing devices can be connected to in-house sound systems
  • A limited number of wheelchairs are available free of charge

 

Session Seating

The plenary area has marked and reserved sections of accessible seating in the back to accommodate mobility devices, and in the front for those with hearing and/or visual impairments. All seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For help, please alert an ABAI staff member (wearing a red shirt).

 

Elevator Access

If you need to use elevators regularly instead of escalators or stairs, please stop by the registration desk for map of elevator locations.

 

Waiting in Lines

Anyone with limited mobility or who is using a mobility device such as a scooter, walker, crutches, or wheelchair may wait near the front of the line to take advantage of accessible seating.

 

The Westin Boston Seaport District

The Westin Boston Seaport District has many accessible features and a complete list is available here. They include:

  • Elevators to every floor
  • Amenities such as the hotel swimming pool, business center, restaurants, meeting spaces, and fitness center have accessible entrances 
  • Service animals are welcome
  • Guest rooms have accessible vanities, bathtub grab rails, flashing door knockers, lowered outlets, viewports, and deadbolts on doors, among many other features

 

The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport

The Westin Boston Seaport District has many accessible features and a complete list is available here. They include:

  • Accessible guest rooms with grab rails in bathrooms, lowered outlets and viewports, and roll-in showers, among many other features
  • Amenities such as the restaurant, meeting spaces, and fitness center have accessible entrances 
  • Service animals are welcome.
