We are changing the schedule of sessions for the 47th Annual Convention only. In particular, the Opening Event and SABA Awards, Presidential Scholar Address, and ABAI Expo will take place on Friday, May 28, in the evening.
San Francisco is a uniquely picturesque city, whose scenic attractions include the largest cultivated urban park in the country, Golden Gate Park. The city is also known for landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the former Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, Fisherman’s Wharf, and its Chinatown district.
All convention events will be at the Moscone Center West, in the Yerba Buena neighborhood. This neighborhood is known for its museums and galleries, restaurants and theaters, and expansive urban gardens. Only a short walk away is Union Square, home to the Westfield San Francisco Centre, with more than 100 stores and restaurants.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the Bay Area’s largest airport, offering non-stop flights to 83 cities in the US on 13 domestic airlines, as well as more than 49 international cities on 41 international carriers. Bay Area Rapid Transit is the fastest (~30 minutes), most cost-effective way to get from SFO downtown.
