Adrienne Jennings (Daemen University)

Date: August 19, 2025
Time: 12:00 PM Eastern

Abstract: Artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into behavioral services, offering potential benefits to client care, as well as clinician implementation. While AI holds considerable promise, its ethical implementation requires careful attention to issues such as generalizability and bias, data privacy and security, and transparency in decision-making. This presentation will begin with an overview of AI and its various types, followed by real-world and hypothetical use case examples relevant to behavioral services. Emphasis will be placed on a practical set of expert-informed recommendations, organized by core ethical themes, to help providers responsibly navigate the adoption and oversight of AI tools. Scenarios will be used to illustrate how these recommendations can be applied in practice. This presentation will cover ethics content.
