Dr. Monika Suchowierska received her degree from the University of Kansas in 2003. During her stay in the United States, Dr. Suchowierska became interested in the theoretical and practical knowledge of behavior analysis, and in particular its use in working with children with autism. Dr. Suchowierska is Poland's only board certified behavior analyst. Since October 2004, she is an assistant professor in the School of Social Psychology (SWPS). Dr. Suchowierska is the head of Poland's first post-graduate studies of applied behavior analysis. She is also the director of the Psychology in English program at SWPS. In 2010, Dr. Suchowierska she became the dean of the Faculty of Psychology in the School of Social Psychology. Dr. Suchowierska coordinate two U.S.-European exchange programs for students and researchers. In the academic year 2009-10, Dr. Suchowierska received a Fulbright Scholarship to California State University, Stanislaus. Monica worked in clinical practice for 16 years with children with autism and since 2005, she has been the director of the Centre for Early Intervention Step by Step Center. From 2006-2009, Dr. Suchowierska served as chair of the Polish Society for Behavioral Studies. Dr. Suchowierska's non-scientific interests include mountain tourism.
