Heather M. McGee

Heather M. McGee is an assistant professor of psychology and chair of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at Western Michigan University (WMU). She received her BS (1998), MA (2003), and PhD (2004) from WMU. Her applied and research interests lie in improving organizational performance through interventions based on comprehensive behavioral systems analysis, characteristics and arrangements of feedback and goal setting, behavior based safety, data collection integrity, and instructional technology. Dr. McGee is also a co-founder of, and performance consultant with, Performance Blueprints, a performance improvement consulting firm specializing in helping small businesses, non-profits & human service settings by providing a variety of consulting and training services. Dr. McGee has designed, developed and implemented organizational performance solutions in a variety of industries and settings, including autism service providers, the pharmaceutical industry, education, and health and human services industries. These solutions have included performance-based instruction, performance management, behavioral systems changes, and lean sigma initiatives. Additionally, Dr. McGee is the Executive Director of the Organizational Behavior Management Network and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management.
