IACABAI (AARBA/AIAMC) Italy Associate Chapter of ABAI
IACABAI (AARBA/AIAMC). In May 2017, two past Affiliated Chapters merged to form the Italian Associate Chapter of ABAI: AARBA, with the AIAMC. This associate chapter shares ABAI's mission: "To contribute to the well-being of society by supporting, developing, and enhancing the growth and vitality of the science of behavior analysis."
AARBA (Association for the Advancement of Radical Behavior Analysis) was an ABAI Affiliated chapter from 2008-2017. The chapter’s mission, which was essentially the same as ABAI’s, was to "develop, enhance, and support the growth and vitality of behavior analysis through research, education, and practice." It works in the application to academic, governmental, and social/organizational environments.
AIAMC, (Italian Association of Analysis and Modification of Behavior) was established in 1977, and affiliated to ABAI in April 1985.
It was in existence for 22 years, until 2007, as an affiliated chapter. AIAMC has taught training in patient care through tried and tested therapies, protocols, and techniques based on scientific evidence is the founding principle of the association.
