Jovonnie Esquierdo-Leal received her master’s degree from California State University, Fresno (CSUF) and is currently a doctoral student, under the advisement of Dr. Houmanfar, at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). She serves as the graduate research assistant to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as well as a graduate research assistant to the UNR Office of Diversity Initiatives. As a graduate research assistant, Jovonnie works closely with the associate dean for Diversity and Inclusion at UNR Med and the Chief Diversity Officer at UNR to create and facilitate effective practices that improve the culture of the institution. Her research interests include Behavioral Systems Analysis (BSA), verbal behavior, and leadership. Jovonnie is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
