Simon Dymond received his Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from the University College in Cork, Ireland. He was a senior lecturer in behavioral psychology at Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge before joining the Psychology Department at the University of Wales, Swansea. In this position, Dr. Dymond teaches courses in the MS.c. in Behavior Analysis program. He specializes in relational frame theory, derived transformation of functions, multiple stimulus relations, and clinical and experimental psychopathology (fear, avoidance, anxiety, thought suppression). Dr. Dymond is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and, in 2002, he and Dr. Mecca Chiesa received a SABA International Development Grant to fund the development of the first postgraduate program in applied behavior analysis in the United Kingdom that satisfied the education coursework requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®. He is a Founding Member of the Applied Behaviour Analysis Lecturers’ Co-Operative in the United Kingdom and has served in an editorial capacity for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, the Experimental Analysis of Human Behavior Bulletin, the Journal of Traumatic Stress, and the International Journal of Behavioral Consultation and Therapy.
