SABA Senior Student Presenter Grant

SABA will distribute donations from the 2011–2012 Senior Student Presenter Fund to qualified student applicants. Complimentary registration (but not other expenses) will be awarded to student presenters as allowed by the availability of funds and the eligibility of the student. Students' proposals must be accepted for presentation at ABAI's 2012 annual convention.

Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • The student must be a 2012 student member of ABAI by the October 12, 2011 call for papers deadline of the event for which s/he is making a grant application. Please note that a second submission deadline of February 1, 2012 is offered for poster proposals. However, senior student presenters who submit after the initial October 12 deadline, for the second poster deadline, will not be eligible for a SABA Senior Student Presenter Grant.
  • The student must be the first (senior) author as well as the presenting author of the submission (poster, paper address, panel discussion, or symposium).

Grant Application for the Annual Convention

A separate grant application is not necessary. Apply by checking the "SABA Senior Student presenter Grant Eligibility" box in your call for paper proposal. You will be notified of the outcome of your application prior to the early registration deadline for the event for which you are making a submission, in early December. SABA Senior Student Presenter Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should not register for the convention until they have heard the status of the award.

In 2011, 74 student presenters received a Senior Student Presenter Grant for the annual convention held in Denver. A list of recipients is available here.
