In December 1996, Dr. Sidney W. and Janet R. Bijou funded a substantial endowment to SABA to establish the Sidney W. and Janet R. Bijou Fellowship Program. In 2003, Dr. Bijou made a second donation to increase the number of Fellowships offered each year to two.
The objective of the Sidney W. and Janet R. Bijou Fellowship Program is to enable doctoral students to study child development from a behavior-analytic perspective. Click here or visit Dr. Bijou's Web site (www.sidneywbijou.com) to view information about Sidney and Janet Bijou.
The Fellowship provides grants for two students per year in a doctoral program in psychology or education, in which it is possible to conduct research in behavioral child development. For each academic year, the Fellowship will provide two $5,000 grants.

The SABA Sidney & Janet Bijou Fellowship has first awarded in 1998. From 1998 to 2003, a single award was given annually. Since 2003, two awards have been granted annually.
