Mission/Objectives
SEABA's mission is to provide a forum to promote interaction of students and outstanding scholars in behavior analysis and related fields. The annual conference program is specifically designed to cover the spectrum of behavioral fields. To this end, the program presents a balanced mixture of presentations on basic and applied empirical research as well as conceptual, philosophical, and clinical topics. The program is composed of a single-track of 9-10 invited speakers, and a poster session. Speakers are invited from all around the United States, but primarily from the Southeastern region. A different student member serves as chair for each presenter’s talk.
Description of Membership
Members are academic and professional behavior analysts (Ph.D.) and students in behavior analysis and related programs.
Annual or Recurring Events
SEABA holds an annual conference. The 2008 conference is scheduled to take place October 31-November 1 at the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta, GA.
Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts
SEABA is of direct interest to behavior analysts because it provides a forum for discussion of scientific issues related to study and practice of behavior analysis.
