Mission/Objectives
The mission of the South Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis (SCABA) is to promote the awareness and use of the principles and practices of applied behavior analysis in the delivery, treatment, and psychological support services in natural environments. SCABA will:
- provide a framework for sharing of information and ideas amongst those who are involved or would like to become invoved in effective, ethical ABA-based programming;
- support the partnership between parents and providers involved in ABA-based service delivery;
- encourage quality ABA-based research within the state;
- promote socially validated and evidence-based interventions which maintain the dignity of the individuals involved.
Description of Membership
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in behavior analysis, including students, parents, professionals, and advocates.
Recurring Annual Events
Quarterly meetings - business plus presenters on ABA-based research and/or programs in SC or surrounding states - presented by members.
Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts
The mission supports the sharing of ideas and research that relates to the role of the behavior analyst.
