Affiliated Chapters
Affiliated chapters are membership organizations associated with ABA InternationalTM through their interest in the dissemination and growth of behavior analysis. They are defined by a geographical boundary; for instance, a state, a region, or a country. ABA International maintains a mutually beneficial relationship with 59 affiliated chapters in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. These chapters often hold conferences, sponsor lectures, and offer continuing education opportunities. Reduced ABA International membership and convention fees are available to members of affiliated chapters.
The growth of behavior analysis can be measured by the growth of affiliated chapters. ABA International affiliated chapters reported having nearly 13,500 members, 5,800 in U.S. chapters and over 7,700 non-U.S. chapters in 30 countries. Membership in ABA International affiliated chapters has averaged 6.5% annual growth over the past 10 years.
