The Association for Behavior Analysis International is a membership organization dedicated to promoting the experimental, theoretical, and applied analysis of behavior. It is based in Portage, Michigan and serves over 5,000 members throughout the world. ABA International also assists an additional 13,000 members from 65 affiliated chapters and members from 32 special interest groups. ABA International encompasses contemporary scientific and social issues, theoretical advances, and the dissemination of professional and public information in behavior analysis. We publish two scholarly journals, distribute a newsletter three times a year, provide support for continuing education credits, accredit behavioral programs, and organize an annual convention attended by over 4,300 people from around the world. In addition, ABA International organizes international conferences, held every two years in locations around the world, and other specialized conferences and events.

Events Director

An international non-profit organization is seeking an Events Director to manage their Events Department which includes two full-time staff members.

The Events Department assists in the planning and management of an annual convention which brings more than 4,500 registrants and a variety of other events a year. The Department responsibilities include; call-for-paper's submissions management, event site study analysis, hotel and vendor negotiations, program scheduling, staff and volunteer recruitment, event team management, travel arrangements, and on-site management of events and exhibitors. This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the CEO of the organization. The office is located in Portage, MI and this is not a work-from-home position. Applicants must have at least a BA degree in Hospitality/Tourism management or related disciplines and must have at least 10 years of experience in supervision and management of conferences and events. Previous experience working with a non-profit association is desirable but not required.
