Mission Statement

As applied behavior analysis forms into a profession it is logically developing interest and difficulties uniquely related to the practice of behavior analysis in the school system, mental health system, and developmental disabilities system. This SIG is dedicated to the establishment of behavior analysis as a unique clinical practice. We support federal, local, and state initiatives including but not limited to the licensing of behavior analysis.

Description of Membership

Membership is open to practitioners who are clinical behavior analysts, applied behavior analysts, behavior therapists, and researchers who want to ensure that their material is reaching practitioners.

Annual or Recurring Events

The Practitioner Issues in Behavior Analysis (PIBA) SIG will meet each year at the ABAI annual convention.

The Practicing Behavior Analyst

Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts

This SIG will focus on definitional issues for behavior analysts.
