Education Resources
The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) actively supports the education of behavior analysts through the work of the Education Board, which has as its mission the improvement and dissemination of best practices in the recruitment, training, and professional development of behavior analysts. ABAI accredits training programs in behavior analysis, supports the efforts of the Council of Directors of Graduate Training Programs in Behavior Analysis, and makes available syllabi of typical courses in behavior analysis for use by professors in the field.
Accreditation of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
The mission of ABAI is to support and develop the science of behavior analysis through education, research, and practice. One means by which ABAI strives to fulfill its mission is to set standards for the accreditation of educational programs in behavior analysis. These standards are designed to encourage and support exemplary training of behavior scientists and scientist-practitioners who may by virtue of this training demonstrate competence in the experimental and theoretical foundations of behavior analysis as well as in ethical and evidence-based practices.
