Missouri ABA
By Jenny Frisbee
The Missouri Association for Behavior Analysis (MOABA) is an organization founded to support and promote scientific research on basic principles of behavior and the effective and ethical application of those principles. During the past year, MOABA has successfully established itself as a provider of continuing education for the behavior analytic community, begun a dialogue on practice standards and legislative issues, established a Web site, and continued to provide a means for behavior analysts to meet and speak about issues related to the practice of behavior analysis in Missouri.
Over the next year we plan to continue our dialogue on practice standards and legislative issues and to continue providing behavior analysts continuing education opportunities. MOABA members and non-members are welcome to attend chapter meetings, which occurs every other month.
Members are kept up to date with chapter events through our quarterly newsletter. MOABA also holds a yearly convention. The 2006 convention will be held in St. Louis on November 10th and 11th at the Holiday Inn Southwest Viking Convention Center. This year, elections will be held for board members. Current board members include:
- President: Jenny Frisbee
- Vice President: Kimberly Salls
- Secretary: Tami Galensky-Pentz
- Treasurer: Todd Streff
- Member at Large: Moira Seyle
- Member at Large: Dave Pentz
- Student Representative: Kyler Hasl-Wright
Additional membership, meeting, and conference information can be found on our Web site at www.moaba.org.
