Japanese ABA

Report on Chapter Activities in 2005
- Completed the 23rd annual convention on the Tokiwa University campus on July 29-31, 2005. The convention program included three invited addresses given by international guest scholars William L. Heward (The Ohio State University), Kennon A. Lattal (West Virginia University), and Darnell Lattal (Aubrey Daniels International). In addition, one workshop and two symposia, 16 papers, and 60 posters were presented.
- Elected new board members for 2006-2008. Professor Kenichi Fuji at Ritumeikan University was elected as new President.
- Published two issues of the Japanese Journal of Behavior Analysis.
- Published four issues of the J-ABA News (Newsletter).
- Provided scholarship for two students to attend ABA in Chicago.
Plans for 2006
- Hold the 24th annual convention on Kwansei Gakuin University campus on September 1-3. (Further information is available on line at http://dips-kwansei.gr.jp/j-aba2006)
- Publish two issues of the Japanese Journal of Behavior Analysis.
- Publish four issues of the J-ABA news.
- Plan symposia and/or workshops for both members and non-members to disseminate behavior analysis information.
- Support two student members to attend ABA conference in 2007.
- Maintain a Web site (http://www.j-aba.jp/) where one can find conference announcements, membership directory, directory of graduate/undergraduate training programs, and links to other behavior analysis sites, including ABA.
