Hawai'ian ABA
By Dr. Kimberly Smalley
HABA, the Hawai'ian Association for Behavior Analysis, is growing, slowly but surely. This year we increased our membership by a third and hosted two timely and informative workshops. Our recently held second annual conference was a smashing success. We provided five fabulous speakers for 67 attendees, and even offered two BCBA CEUs (Thank you again, Alison Moors). While not yet the minimum state standard, five new members have expressed interest in sitting for their board certification. HABA will be offering general information and guided study groups, come one, come all.
Our focus at HABA this year is to provide professional development and training opportunities statewide. We would like to extend an invitation to the behavioral community to drop us a line if you are in the area. We would be thrilled to facilitate a lecture or workshop, should you be so inclined. Our contact information, as well as membership forms, a newsletter, and conference highlights can all be found on our Web site http://home.hawaii.rr.com/haba. We can also be reached through Yahoo groups at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HawaiiABA/join.
