2009 was a very difficult year for the Philippine chapter. Due to very limited funding and a lot of members unable to sustain their memberships, we were not able to organize our yearly accreditation or mount any continuing education conference, which we have been doing at least once a year since 2006. Recently, we staged a fundraiser in which we tapped corporations to help us through monetary donations to organize a major conference for this year, hopefully in the next 6 months. We look forward to a better year for the chapter and we hope that more people will join us in our advocacy to professionalize the field of applied behavior analysis in our country for the benefit of the children we serve.
