Membership Board Report

The Applications Review Committee (E. K. Morris, Chair) and the Organizational Membership Review Committee (Jay Moore, Chair) provide the substance of activities occurring under the purview of the Membership Board. Over the past year, the Application Review Committee received 294 applicants for full membership: 145 of these were approved, 45 were rejected and 104 were in review at the time of update. The Individual Applications Review Committee is working with procedures that have been substantially reconfigured over the past two years, finding that their clarity and efficiency have been much improved, while identifying a few needs for fine-tuning.
There have been four new applications in 2010 for organization membership, of which two have been approved, and two are pending receipt of adequate documentation before being forwarded to the Committee. In addition, there were 17 new applications for advertising, all of which were approved.
